Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC) at the
University of California, San Diego has selected
eThority Enterprise Edition to perform
business intelligence work. The center will be using the application to give its managers and business staff the ability to create
ad hoc reports and reduce the report-writing burden on IT.
"After a comprehensive evaluation of available business intelligence products, we felt that eThority best met our organization's needs,"
said Cindy Lee, the center's manager of business applications."We needed a scalable solution with powerful reporting and analysis
capabilities that didn't require extensive resources in terms of training, installation, and management, and one that could be
easily accessed and used."
The tool enables users to perform graphing, crosstabs, and reporting of data across databases. A scheduling feature allows users to
create reporting jobs and schedule their distribution through their e-mail service or via an eThority notification system.
